Yes - that's exactly who we want on a Day Drive. Co-Leads brief tyre pressures, line choice and recovery basics at the meet point. You'll be paired with a Warrior who keeps an eye on your line and helps if you get stuck. Most members were beginners on their first WOW drive.

Any 4x4 with low range and AT or MT tyres. Land Cruiser, Pajero, Wrangler, Patrol, FJ, LC Prado, Defender all welcome. Some events allow mid-clearance vehicles - the event card lists what's allowed. Soft sand drives need real off-road tyres, not road tyres.

Not for your first drive. Warriors carry full recovery kits. After 2 - 3 drives we'll ask you to bring at least: a tow strap, a shovel, a tyre pressure gauge, and 5L of water. The WOW Store sells a starter recovery rope.

Each event has its own contribution, usually OMR 10 - 35 per vehicle. You pay to reserve your spot - that locks in your seat, helps us speed up registration for other events, and unlocks certain sponsor discounts along the way. It covers Co-Lead time, route scouting, recovery gear, water, and any camp or food costs. Long convoys cost more. The number is on every event card. Payment details are shared right after you RSVP.

Day drives are 6 - 8 hours including transit. Wadi crossings 5 - 7 hours. Night drives 5 hours after sunset. Long convoys (Stardunes, Salalah) are 2 - 8 days. The event card lists meet point, return time and total distance.

Yes - count them in your RSVP under "# Passengers". Kids welcome on Beginner and Family drives. Advanced and night drives are usually adults only. Everyone signs the WOW waiver - parents sign for kids.

Stay in the vehicle, radio the convoy, and wait for the Warrior. Recovery is part of the drive - no shame, no extra cost. Don't accept help from drivers outside the convoy unless the Warrior approves it.

Night drives are run by experienced Co-Leads on familiar terrain. Sand flag, working headlights, full tank, and recovery gear required. Reserved for Sand Master level and above unless your Co-Lead approves you specifically.

Yes - WOW membership is free. You pay per-event contributions, and members get discounts in the store. There's no annual fee, no hidden subscription.

Co-Leads need a verified ID for any member crossing borders or on a multi-day camp. Your ID card is private - only the Super Admin sees it, and it's stored in a permission-restricted Drive folder. Skip it if you only do day drives.

Levels are computed from your trip count in the WOW DB. Rookie -> Day Driver at 3 trips, Trail Ready at 10, Sand Master at 25. Warrior and Co-Lead are by invitation. Full breakdown on the Levels page.

Yes, up to 48 hours before the drive. WhatsApp the Co-Lead. Inside 48 hours we may have already paid camp / food costs and locked sponsor arrangements - in that case the contribution is non-refundable, but we'll move it to your next drive as credit.

The Co-Lead checks weather 24h before the drive. If it's unsafe (flash flood risk, sand storm, extreme heat), the drive is rescheduled and your RSVP rolls to the new date. The event card shows live forecast for each event date.
